Takeover
This would probably never happen to Detroit – the state has appointed an emergency financial manager to take over Pontiac’s desperate financial situation. It’s a good idea, however, and Detroit better watch out or Granholm may have no other option but to do the same thing to the Motor City. Although, I doubt she’ll approach Detroit the same way she approached Pontiac:
In February, Granholm sent an eight-page letter to [Pontiac Mayor] Phillips, saying the city has shown “a lack of urgency” in addressing financial problems.
If she sent the same letter to the Detroit city council, the moonbats would start howling. Or singing “Onward Christian Soldiers.”

Can we send an eight-page letter to Granholm saying that she has shown a “lack of urgency” in addressing financial problems in the state? Please?
Would it take eight pages?
