Drinking The Kool-Aid

I’m a Lions fan, always have been and always will be.  Every fall, I drink the Honolulu Blue Kool-Aid and think that the Lions might make it to the playoffs.  Well, lately I’m just hoping for a winning season or, given last years 0-16 debacle, hoping for a win.  However, realism usually sets in by the bye week and I look forward to watching the Wings and Pistons.  But I’m not as bad as the Freep when it comes to blind faith.  They’re drinking the green Kool-Aid by the barrel, ignoring California’s failed attempts to boost their own economy with so-called green jobs.  The Freep is also believes that the economy is showing signs of recovery, except that June retail sales were down and unemployment continues to increase.  The real concern now is a double-dip recession which could lead to a prolonged depression.  But I’m sure the leftstream media will support the cult of Obama, since they’ve risked their reputation (not a huge bet) on his success.
