Debate Redux

Let’s not call last night’s debate a “town hall” forum. The questions were screened and picked out by Brokaw, who asked as many of own questions as were supplied by the audience.  That was the most painful thing I watched since Joe Theisman broke his leg on Monday Night Football.  I knew I was in trouble when both men answered the first question with their stump speeches.

Obama:  Bush is bad.  McCain is Bush.  I am not Bush.

McCain:  My friends, I’m a maverick!

Brokaw:  We’re running out of time.

I can’t believe one of these two men will be our next President.  We did a poor job picking these guys during the primaries.
