Forget Socialism

Much has been talked about lately of Obama’s alleged ties to socialist groups.  However, his tax policies show that he’s not so much a socialist as a communist.  Six of his seven planned “tax cuts” are in fact refunds – doling out money to taxpayers.  Trouble is, a third of the people end up paying no federal income tax at all.

My first job was a stock boy at a local party store.  I made about $3 an hour, which after federal and state taxes and Social Security, wasn’t much for a kid who was hoping to buy a car.  However, at the end of the year, actually some time in February, after filling out my tax return, I received a refund for all the federal and state taxes.  (I’ll be looking foward to getting the Social Security back when I’m in my 70s or by that time maybe 80s.  Yeah, right.)  Point being, in the end, I didn’t pay income taxes.

So now Obama wants to provide more “tax cuts” to people who don’t pay taxes.  Unfortunately, this didn’t start with Obama.  We’ve had a couple of “refunds” in the last several years as part of various stimulus packages.  But these are really redistribution programs.  If Obama wins the presidency and the Democrats hold or even make gains in Congress, we may see more of these.

The Democrats have forsaken socialism and are going straight for communism.
